And the sky is gray...
I've been on a walk
On a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm
If I was in L.A.
On such a winter's day...

The evenings are getting chilly and it is time to start layering and switching your wardrobe over into fall. I love in between seasons it is when you get to play around the most! Mix and match a summer skirt with a fall cardigan, boots, or a long jacket, or some long pants with a sheer tank or blouse. Layer sweaters over dresses, and feel free to wear footwear of all kinds.
I've hit the runways to update you on some of the latest fall trends - photos from Style.com
WARNING: PHOTO AND TREND OVERLOAD!!!!!!
Neutrals & soft, pale tones
Burnt & crimson shades, 70's retro colours - purple, orange, yellow, red
Black & gold for a touch of elegance
Bold, graphic prints - I like them done best in monochromatic colours with the shades mixed up.
Snakeskin, animal print, plastic, sheer, shimmer and fur just to name a few
Dolce & Gabbana
Pleats, ruffles, bows, feathers, stars, polka dots all over the runways!
Dolce & Gabbana
Gothic-chic. I have not seen this look perfected on the runway for a long time and I am loving the dark edge to these styles.
Military, androgynous & equestrian - suits, riding boots, strong and powerful dressing
Maxi / midi dressing - play with the lengths of your tops and skirts! Go anywhere from crop tops to tunics, medium length to floor length bottoms
Chunky collar or choker style necklaces, bowties.
Big & bulky structured jackets & parkas
Hats! There are some unique hats on the fall runway so make sure to have fun with the shapes and styles.
Cut-outs are here to stay, with V necks as the focus both in the front and at the back.
Layering! Especially around the middle area. This will help you transition your summer wardrobe into the cooler seasons.
BCBG Max Azria
Wide leg pants have been peaking around for the last couple seasons but are sure to really make a hit this fall!
Marc by Marc Jacobs
A-line shapes and colour blocking - an updated trend from summer, the blocking is getting chunkier and less neon, and the skirts are longer for the upcoming colder seasons!
Happy fall shopping my loves!
Hold on to the rest of your summer before it slips away
