Beach Essentials

Falling from cloud nine
Crashing from the high
I'm letting go tonight
Yeah, I'm falling from cloud nine

I'm wide awake
Not losing any sleep
I picked up every piece
And landed on my feet
I'm wide awake
Need nothing to complete myself

I'm wide awake
Yeah, I am born again
Outta the lion's den
I don't have to pretend
And it's too late
The story's over now, the end
When taking a trip to the beach, it is important to include the essentials that will keep you safe while having fun.
If you have fair skin like me, you need to take extra precautions when it comes to sun protection.
Don't forget about protecting your hair and lips as well!
UV protection is important - especially if you have freckles, light hair and eyes, and fair skin.
Here are my essentials for a trip to the beach!  I went to Wasaga on the weekend, a local tourist spot only 45 minutes from my house.  What are your beach essentials?

 Bikini, accessories, beach towel, cover-up
Beach bag and flip flops.  Old Navy flip flops cost $5 and last the whole season!
Sunscreen, tanning oil, and lip balm with SPF.  I LOVE Baby Lips by Maybelline, Banana Boat anything, and Neutrogena Ultra Sheer is super light and barely feels like sunscreen.  You can use this on your face no problem!
Face care!  I love BioTherm, I also use a hidden gem which is a Canadian all-natural product, a face cream from a brand by two girls in Toronto called Pretty Natural Organics.
Moisturizing is key for before and after sun exposure!  I love Body Butter from the Body Shop, I also use a lot of skin care by BioTherm and Victoria's Secret.  This Blueberry scented one was on sale for $5!
This is the best texturizing spray I have ever used but alas - I believe they have stopped making it.  As you can see I'm dangerously low so if anyone knows where I can find this please let me know!
Then you need a vehicle to take you to the beach...scenic route preferred.
Wasaga beach!
My dock at the cottage
I love the summertime!
Outfit photos to come - I have been collecting ;)

Just turned 25 last weekend!  New chapter in my life is definitely starting.
One month until my Mediterranean cruise!
Any tips for cruising in Italy and Greece?  I am taking Royal Caribbean!

XO Veronica

Colourful accessories

I know I am not alone when I say, I love black.  I love neutral, grays, anything super dull is classy to me.  "Less is more", has always been my mantra.  Except when it came to wearing make up in high school.  But that's another story.  You are here for the shoes, and the purses.  I just know it.

I have made a conscious effort to add more colour in my wardrobe.

I thought I would stay away from showcasing the suits I have been adding to my professional wardrobe-- for now.  Those will come in as individual full-fledged outfit posts.  I am wearing a teal suit today from Le Chateau, I love matching skirts and blazers in fun colours!  Mix and matching is fun too.

For now, for today, on this boring Tuesday, it's time to bring out the shoe and purse collection.  Add some colour to your world!  More is more!

I just had to get this pair in black...old habits die hard!

As you can tell I am not very organized.
I hope to have a new system when I get my own place!
Hope you enjoyed!

Since I'm going to be launching my new website soon I thought I would take the time to tell you a little bit about myself with a photo sequence of an average day in my life.

City rhythm

We'll be celebrating, dancing until dawn,
Come on dry your tears now, put your dark glasses on,
Tonight in Babylon

Gonna be a revolution, a change is gonna come,
Gonna be a new beginning, gonna shine on everyone
Tonight in Babylon, tonight in Babylon

Maybe we should go out dancing, put the red light on,

Everybody knows it's over, we knew it all along,
Tonight in Babylon, tonight in Babylon
- LoveRush UK ft. Bryan Adams -- Tonight in Babylon
My life has been so fast-paced and hectic lately!!!  I feel like it has been forever since I have done a blog post.  My new internship downtown takes up 12 hours of my day with commuting and I also travel around the city to various bars doing promotions in my spare time.
A few weeks ago I attended an event for America's Next Top Model here in Toronto.
I wanted to share with you a few of the photos, I went for two days and got to see Canadian talent Danny Fernandes and Trish perform live, along with dozens of other fashion shows, product stands and events.  The photos were taken on my iPhone, and I found the models were mostly sprinting down the runway so I didn't get a lot of close-ups.

Coming up next:  I am working on a new site that will have a plethora of content in the fashion and technology departments.  I plan on launching in the fall with a domain and a brand new layout -- stay tuned for previews and updates.
I also plan to showcase my favourite designs from the 2012 Resort collections.  Summer is right around the corner and I hope you are all experiencing lovely weather!
