Fashion Jam and London, England!

Something in the way you love me won't let me be
I don't want to be your prisoner so baby won't you set me free
Stop playin' with my heart
Finish what you start
When you make my love come down
If you want me let me know
Baby, let it show
Honey, don't you fool around

Just try to understand
I've given all I can 'cause you got the best of me.

Borderline … feels like I'm goin' to lose my mind
You just keep on pushin' my love over the borderline

I am super excited to actually be doing work in the field of fashion!
I am helping fundraise for an event called FASHION JAM, held at a club in Toronto to showcase upcoming designers from the area that do not have a lot of exposure.  I will be taking pictures at this event as well to show you guys!

For more information or to buy tickets you can check out the website:
ALL PROCEEDS GO TO CHARITY!

I also got my free outfit from Club Monaco!  I will get it shot within the next couple days.  It is a black dress with long sleeves, fitted with wider shoulders.  It is very flattering on my figure since I have small shoulders and bigger hips, it really creates a gorgeous hourglass silhouette.  I am loving my job, it is so rewarding helping people find outfits that look great on their individual figures and match their unique complexions!

As promised, here is my last feature on fashion week (for now) and this time we are in LONDON, ENGLAND.  I have taken a lot of trips to England, I have family there and my mother was born there.  There is usually an element of humour and quirkiness in English fashion... I can't say I don't appreciate it!  Some of my favourite looks:

Burberry Porsum
I am too inspired by this line to wait for spring to wear some of these styles.  I am absolutely in love with this line season after season and their timeless pieces inspire designers all around the world to imitate their look.  I love the biker-chick feel, smothered with class and elegance!  Other than the fact that the shoes look completely uncomfortable and unpractical, I would rock every single look on this runway!
Hannah Marshall
I have been drooling over this line since it came out, the silhouettes of each piece and the sheer materials are just to die for!  The fact that the collection is mostly blacks and nudes just makes icing on the cake.  Although there are only 17 looks on this runway, most pieces are versatile, classy, and absolutely stunning.

Twenty8twelve
This line is so much fun!  A little less juvenile than Betsey Johnson, these items make you feel girly without feeling as if you're dressing too much like a child.  These pieces are feminine, flirty, classic and gorgeous!

I have some other small news - I am working on a new header!  Stay tuned, it will be up later this week.  I am making it myself on Photoshop.  Check back this weekend for photos from FASHION JAM too!
Take care my gorgeous blog friends!

J'adore Paris

The train pulled into Paris like a rocket to the moon
The station's like a circus every face is a cartoon
Everybody's stoned on pride and drunk on cheap champagne
Tonight this joie de vivre sure don't live up to its name
And now all that I can say

I'd give this world to you
Every rock and every stone every masterpiece in Rome
And if you asked me to
I'd steel the Mona Lisa, tear it up in little pieces
And lay them at your feet
For all the world to see
But tonight I can't give you Paris
- PARIS -- FAITH HILL

Almost done showcasing my favourite looks from S/S 2011!  I have been very busy with school and my two jobs, one is a fashion job that I am loving!
I get to style people and mannequins with gorgeous clothing from CLUB MONACO.  A step in the right direction for my fashion career, but the bar is definitely better for my bankbook.
I wanted to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my last outfit post, I will be sure to do more soon!  I am trying to get more creative with my photography, I have tons of outfit ideas though.  STAY TUNED!

AND NOW FOR SOME LOOKS FROM PARIS, FRANCE

Elie Saab takes the award for best collection in my opinion.  Each look screams sheer elegance and absolute beauty.  This designer seems to just keep getting better every season and is quickly advancing to the top of my favourites list.  The collection features gorgeous neutrals in feminine silhouettes and simple, stunning accessories and detailing.

The Hermes line was full of black and neutral leather with equestrian details resembling everything from stirrups and whips to suspenders and waist corsets.  Hats, hotpants, and gloves are also featured in this collection.

Over at Balmain there were ripped tights, leather, sequins; a rocker chick's heaven.  Add beautiful structure and a dash of class and this line just stole my heart.

Alexis Mabille did its first ready to wear line, and the results are brilliant.  Elegent, chic looks combined with sheer, simple or shiny materials made stunning pieces that rocked the runway. Denim and neutrals were prominent on this runway.

Azzaro was full of cocktail dresses I would love to own.  They are simple but glamorous and I absolutely adore the colour palette and carefully planned details including scrunching and sequins.

And of course my classic favourites...

Dior
Season after season I have never been disappointed with a line from Christian Dior.
Spring 2011 is no exception.  This line has inspired me to use colour where I never would have before.  I demand you check out the rest of this collection!

Chanel
More leather, classic crochet and simple but stunning details and layering added to the collection of classic suits and timeless pieces.  Here are a few looks:

Outfit - Fall colours

I read the news today oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grave
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure
If he was from the House of Lords

I saw a film today oh boy
The English Army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
but I just had to look
Having read the book
I'd love to turn you on
- A DAY IN THE LIFE -- THE BEATLES

Fall is here and it is apparent in the air, the trees, and of course fashion everywhere!
The spring collections for next year have been inspiring me as much as the fall trends I am loving.  I can't wait until warm weather is here again!  Soon there will be snow on the ground, and hopefully I can get some cool winter photoshoots done.
It seems like it has been forever since I did an outfit post; I am still missing the cord to my camera so these photographs were taken with an i-phone.
I got this shirt a couple years ago from my best friend Natalie for my birthday.  It has so many colours; I always mean to wear it to cheer myself up but I do not remember the last time I brought it out.
It is a summer shirt but I wore it with some darker pieces to transition to fall!
Hope you like the scenery around my area, the colours on the trees are beautiful!
