J'adore Paris

The train pulled into Paris like a rocket to the moon
The station's like a circus every face is a cartoon
Everybody's stoned on pride and drunk on cheap champagne
Tonight this joie de vivre sure don't live up to its name
And now all that I can say

I'd give this world to you
Every rock and every stone every masterpiece in Rome
And if you asked me to
I'd steel the Mona Lisa, tear it up in little pieces
And lay them at your feet
For all the world to see
But tonight I can't give you Paris
- PARIS -- FAITH HILL

Almost done showcasing my favourite looks from S/S 2011!  I have been very busy with school and my two jobs, one is a fashion job that I am loving!
I get to style people and mannequins with gorgeous clothing from CLUB MONACO.  A step in the right direction for my fashion career, but the bar is definitely better for my bankbook.
I wanted to thank everyone for their lovely comments on my last outfit post, I will be sure to do more soon!  I am trying to get more creative with my photography, I have tons of outfit ideas though.  STAY TUNED!

AND NOW FOR SOME LOOKS FROM PARIS, FRANCE

Elie Saab takes the award for best collection in my opinion.  Each look screams sheer elegance and absolute beauty.  This designer seems to just keep getting better every season and is quickly advancing to the top of my favourites list.  The collection features gorgeous neutrals in feminine silhouettes and simple, stunning accessories and detailing.

The Hermes line was full of black and neutral leather with equestrian details resembling everything from stirrups and whips to suspenders and waist corsets.  Hats, hotpants, and gloves are also featured in this collection.

Over at Balmain there were ripped tights, leather, sequins; a rocker chick's heaven.  Add beautiful structure and a dash of class and this line just stole my heart.

Alexis Mabille did its first ready to wear line, and the results are brilliant.  Elegent, chic looks combined with sheer, simple or shiny materials made stunning pieces that rocked the runway. Denim and neutrals were prominent on this runway.

Azzaro was full of cocktail dresses I would love to own.  They are simple but glamorous and I absolutely adore the colour palette and carefully planned details including scrunching and sequins.

And of course my classic favourites...

Dior
Season after season I have never been disappointed with a line from Christian Dior.
Spring 2011 is no exception.  This line has inspired me to use colour where I never would have before.  I demand you check out the rest of this collection!

Chanel
More leather, classic crochet and simple but stunning details and layering added to the collection of classic suits and timeless pieces.  Here are a few looks:

Outfit - Fall colours

I read the news today oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grave
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure
If he was from the House of Lords

I saw a film today oh boy
The English Army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
but I just had to look
Having read the book
I'd love to turn you on
- A DAY IN THE LIFE -- THE BEATLES

Fall is here and it is apparent in the air, the trees, and of course fashion everywhere!
The spring collections for next year have been inspiring me as much as the fall trends I am loving.  I can't wait until warm weather is here again!  Soon there will be snow on the ground, and hopefully I can get some cool winter photoshoots done.
It seems like it has been forever since I did an outfit post; I am still missing the cord to my camera so these photographs were taken with an i-phone.
I got this shirt a couple years ago from my best friend Natalie for my birthday.  It has so many colours; I always mean to wear it to cheer myself up but I do not remember the last time I brought it out.
It is a summer shirt but I wore it with some darker pieces to transition to fall!
Hope you like the scenery around my area, the colours on the trees are beautiful!

In New York...

In New York,
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
There’s nothing you can’t do,
Now you’re in New York,
These streets will make you feel brand new,
Those lights will inspire you,
Lets hear it for New York, New York, New York
- NEW YORK -- ALICIA KEYS

I was actually surprised how many looks I adored from New York for spring.
I went with a lot of looks to share with you!
Hope you enjoy them.

SOME NEWS...

I am now a stylist at Club Monaco!  I have my first shift this Saturday, wish me luck!  If you're not sure what they are about you can visit their website.

And now for New York!  A lot of the trends stood out and were repeated in Europe.  So many designers really shaped up for this season!

NEW YORK S/S 2011

Anna Sui
This was my favourite line from New York.  This look is so unbelievably stunning, the sheer top with jewel detailing is perfect and the colour is subtle, neutral, and elegant.  The outfit is simple but sheer perfection!
Another Western/tribal look from the runway, this neutral colour palette works so well together.  The feathers, frills, and headpiece just push it over the top!
These two stunning looks mix feminine draping with subtle, tribal detailing.  The simple, practical-looking boots mixed with the neutral and soft colours in this line are absolutely stunning.

DKNY
DKNY uses feminine silhouettes to emphasize the classic, tailored look perfect for the office or a day out.  These looks are so practical and there is a subtle pop of red to add some emphasis.  This was my second favourite line, I love every look!

Mulberry
This is always one of my favourite lines from New York.  The items are versatile, feminine, classic, and perfectly detailed.  The simple basic colour pallette is embellished with subtle feminine detailing like bows and flowers.
Another great look from Mulberry!  These shoes are perfect for spring and the dress can be made casual or dressy according to the rest of the styling!  The bright red background really make the looks stand out.

Altuzari
I love the silhouette, use of leather and the one shoulder.  The shoes are very avant-garde and lighten up the dark look of the dress.
The shape and structure of this outfit is very unique and put together beautifully.  The yellow belt adds a pop of colour to an otherwise neutral pallette.  Socks and sandals are big on the runway once again!
The cutout strips and asymmetry of this outfit is balanced lovely with the subtle yet bright detailed accessories.  A small pop of colour really adds to the look, and the shoes are once again fabulous!

BCBG
Most of the spring looks by Max Azria are all white, simple, and stunning, like most of his spring looks!  Lots of draping and bandaging makes for a subtle variety of otherwise similar styles.

 Calvin Klein
The low v-necks and cutout backs are gorgeous on the simple array of looks from Calvin Klein.

Elle Tahari
This is slowly becoming one of my favourite designers!  The looks are so elegent, and the colours are so simple, just the way I like them!  The shiny, sparkly nudes come together in classic silhouettes to produce gorgeous looks.

 Isaac Mizrahi
This designer is starting to impress me more and more as well with gorgeous feminine detailing and soft pastel pinks.  Some great looks on this runway as well!

Ralph Lauren
This line was all about mixing delicate, feminine pieces with the outdoor country look.  Lots of brown mixed with white lace, low cuts, and Western accessorizing.  A great show!

Michael Kors
This line features draping, cropping, and some looser fitting styles.  Mixing business casual with a little funk and flavour is what this line is all about!

Coming up next:  London, and then Paris, where I left my heart when I was 10 or so!

Wish me luck at my new (and first) retail job ever!
Styling here I come!
