Just a quick outfit post, these photos were from last week before we went out for my step brother's 20th birthday to The Keg for dinner.  No one in my family knows how to take pictures so they came out kind of blurry!  Three days off work so I promise I will do more blogging.

As fall rapidly approaches I am sitting here thinking about my future career path.  I have been in the service industry for almost ten years now and I am getting sick of it; you are often treated like a fly on a wall and there is absolutely no room for creative expression.  However, I love people and I am blessed to interact with so many different cultures and personalities every day as my job is in a very Metro GTA location.
Going into my last or so year of school, I have thought long and hard about the way the world and our planet will look and feel when I graduate.  There is tons of crazy talk about the world ending, but then again there are realities that our planet faces every day far more important than a path of simply obtaining material possessions.  The oil spill, hurricanes, holes in the Earth-- nothing seems to be improving.
I want to be optimistic about my life and the life of our children but collectively we have to treat our planet and each other better if we want to continue much further into this millenium.

What is your opinion of these photographs?

In a lighter tone, sometimes it is nice to escape from the reality of nature and our planet and indulge in escapism through fashion.  I am so lucky and inspired every day by all you bloggers, and nothing cheers me up more than being creative or seeing the amazing thought and dedication you all put into your artistic, fashion forward blogs.  I have been working so hard every day I have been seriously lacking with my blog but that will change soon!  I am dying to pick up this Miu Miu clutch and after working so many hours I feel I deserve it.  So sad it is sold out on netaporter.com!  Does anyone know where I can pick her up?

I am spending the day dog-sitting and taking care of my pets, and they actually do a lot of really cute things so I thought I would share them with you, since almost everyone loves animals and if you don't you're probably either allergic or silly.

I have a giant Bernese Mountain dog who is scared of absolutely everything.  She jumped in my bed for the first time today because there was thunder and my parents weren't home.

Sorry for the lack of blogging but I am working crazy hours... I served a CFL football team yesterday, the Argos (Toronto's team.)  I had an NFL team come in to Moxie's when I worked there too, they make a lot more money so they left a much better tip. (100 percent of the bill each.)  I wish I could remember which team it was!

School starts soon which means there will be tons of time for Photoshop and blogging!

 - TEENAGE DREAM -- KATY PERRY

Although I didn't see the Teen Choice Awards last night, I am really digging Katy Perry's new song although for the most part I find her songs to be repetitive and annoying.  Her last song with Snoop had an almost identical beat as Tik Tok by Ke$ha.  The lyrics are really touching!

Music aside, I thought I would do a post on some fall fashion essentials.  It can get really cold here in Canada, so since we are going to be putting our summer dresses away soon here are some things necessary to get ready for fall!

Tops - very structured and strong shapes, velvet, velour, turtlenecks, draping, patches, cropped

Pants - loose-fitted, flowing pants or embellished leggings, leather, high-waist, suit-style simple pant

Skirts - the schoolgirl, pleats, leather, micro minis, high waist, minimal denim, pencil

Jackets - leather, trench, vests (fur vests are big this fall!)

Boots - leather, suede, rubber,  fur

Tunics - prints (think Picasso) or dark classic colours with lots of layers or leggings!

Lingerie inspired fashion is still huge on the runway.  Tights, embellishments, lace and feminine detailing add to this dominantly masculine season.  Lots of layering will keep you warm and fashionable!

The boyfriend blazer is a classic piece that has found a place in many fashionistas' wardrobes. Victoria's Secret has done a spin on this piece to invent a new staple - the boyfriend cardigan.  Looks cozy!  I am picking one up soon.  Here are a few photos from their fall collection I found inspirational.

Boyfriend cardigan with an embellished tank and micro mini.  Minimal accessorizing with chunky silver bracelets and thigh high boots makes this outfit chic but cosy.

Gorgeous trench coat with distressed denim, over-the-knee socks and high boots.

The high wasted pencil skirt with more chunky bracelets and a cropped leather blazer.  Perfect outfit for fall and the colours are dark and simple.

The belt makes this outfit and it is perfect for the inbetween season!  Absolutely gorgeous styling.
